The Cleethorpes Swimblers – the Spooky Editition
Comments Off on The Cleethorpes Swimblers – the Spooky EdititionSomething strange will be appearing on Cleethorpes beach… a collection of bobble-hatted figures muttering, “It’s lovely once you’re in.”
The ghosts have complained we’re making the place look odd.
Join the Cleethorpes Swimblers for their Spooky swims!
Your swimbling times:
Monday 26 October — 6am Tuesday 27 October — 6am Wednesday 28 October — 6.30am Thursday 29 October —. 6.30am Friday 30 October — 7am
Saturday 31 October —. 8am
Sunday 1 November — 9am
Usual spot, opposite the Memorial Steps. What3Words: ///defend.amount.discouraged
Lights and head torches will be needed for the early dips. Bring your tow float, warm layers and a hot drink afterwards
If you spot a pale figure shaking beside the sea, don’t call an exorcist until you’ve offered them a biscuit
Halloween costumes are completely optional, but would add to the fun — even if it’s just a witch’s hat and your usual frightening behaviour
New faces welcome, whether you fancy a dip or just want to watch the local haunting from the comfort of your coat.
Our usual informal get-together: everyone dips at their own discretion and takes responsibility for themselves.
Come for the swimble. Stay for the faff. Watch out for ghosts
